The sculptures are stories that advocate awareness. "Awarness" is the name of the first piece and it shows more men and women are fighting against the disease.
"Each piece has its meaning," Howerton said.
The scars on the second piece of are are real, sculpted froma breast cancer survivor. She was 35-years-old when diagnosed with the disease. "Strength in Pink" was named for those baring the same scars.

Oklahoma City based artist Kendall Howerton was commissioned to make two large sculptures based on the pink ribbon theme, both utalizing breast as a way to further humanize the cause.
will be of a woman who is nearing the end of her battle against breast cancer and yet finding her freedom in death's embrace. We need your help in finding this model who will share her story and let us immortalize her to represent all women who have lost their battle against breast cancer. Not only will she will make a mark in the world when she is gone, but she will touch the heart and soul of all that look upon her.
